Can you use a screen protector with your Everyday Case? The answer is a big, fat ‘maybe…well, probably…well, it depends.’
Ahh, just what you were looking for, right?
Well the real answer is that it’s complicated, so we made this article to break it down.
The Jist
There are tons of screen protector makes and models and types out there. They’re all slightly different in size, shape, and thickness. In our design process, screen protectors are a consideration, but not a core driver.
Some screen protector models work well with some of our Everyday Case models. Others don’t. We’ve also found that sometimes the way you install your screen protector can improve your chances of compatibility.
So, let’s unpack that a bit more.
Which Screen Protector To Get?
Using a combo of customer feedback and internal testing, we are maintaining a list of screen protector models known to be compatible with each phone case we make. If you know of a compatible screen protector not listed here, please share it with us! Instructions in the section below.

- Screen protector model (ex: Ailun Glass Screen Protector)

How to Install Your Screen Protector
In most incompatibility instances, the screen lip of the Everyday Case will rub against the edge of the screen protector, lifting it up from the screen of your phone.
Our engineering team has found that the best results come when you install the screen protector after installing the Everyday Case. This will make it more likely that the screen protector will be centered on the phone and not touching any part of the Everyday Case.
Obviously this works best with screen protector models that have a slightly smaller surface area and therefore fit inside the screen lip of the Everyday Case. As mentioned earlier, we hope that with the help of our customers we can compile a list of compatible models.
Design Considerations
Every time we design a case for a new phone model, screen protector compatibility is a consideration. But it is one of many design drivers: drop protection, thinness, grip, aesthetics, durability, and rigidity when connected to one of our mounts are among the most important considerations that go into our case design.
The Everyday Case does have a thicker screen lip than most other thin cases. That thicker lip absorbs shock and gives the case a firmer grip on your phone—crucial when you’ve got your phone attached to the handlebars of a mountain bike and your barreling down Mt. Tamalpais.
Conclusion
So, that’s the scoop. This may not be the most satisfying answer for everyone. But with the help of our customers, we hope to present a more robust compatibility list soon.
